Lorena Balderrama is a filmmaker and audiovisual educator, a graduate of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Arts with a specialization in Filmmaking and a teaching certification in the same discipline.
Rocio Acosta is an audiovisual filmmaker, also a graduate of the Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Arts with a specialization in Filmmaking from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). Her personal work focuses on film essays and experimental cinema. Her debut short film, «»Your Presence in Your Absence,»» is a profound exploration of the fragmentation of memory and identity. Lorena and Rocio use the appropriation and reinterpretation of archival material (both familial and from other sources) to construct a non-linear narrative.
The work addresses family legacy and distance from a sensitive, feminine perspective, seeking to transform personal experience into a universal reflection on time and oblivion.
