A través de viejas cartas, Merle revisa su pasado como activista contra el apartheid y cómo esa forma de vida fracturó para siempre la relación con su madre. Al mismo tiempo, se enfrenta a sus privilegios en la Sudáfrica actual y a su propia relación con su hija adoptiva.

Through old letters, Merle revisits her past as an anti-Apartheid activist and how that way of life fractured her relationship with her mother forever. At the same time, she faces her privilege in today’s South Africa and her own relationship with her adopted daughter.

Acerca del Director

Residente en Bélgica, de origen sudafricano y marroquí, Talia es directora y recién licenciada por el Institut des Arts de Diffusion. Anteriormente trabajó en consultoría y producción cinematográfica en Londres. Actualmente está desarrollando una serie híbrida inspirada en el movimiento Take Back The Night, producida por Melocoton Films, y una película musical.

Based in Belgium, of South African and Moroccan origin, Talia is a director and recent graduate from the Institut des Arts de Diffusion. She has worked in film research and production in London and has a law degree and a Masters in Politics and Economics. She is currently developing a hybrid series inspired by the Take Back The Night movement, produced by Melocoton Films, and a musical film.
