Natalia, de 29 años, está a punto de hacer su Profesión Vitalicia en las órdenes de la Iglesia Católica Bizantina, tras dejar atrás su apasionante vida de joven estudiante para dedicarse a Dios. Natalia es una película sobre regresar al mundo o alejarse de él, y sobre hasta dónde llegaría una persona por quien ama.

29-year-old Natalia is about to make her Life Profession in the orders of the Byzantine Catholic Church, having left behind her exciting life as a young student to devote herself to God. Natalia is a film about returning to the world or walking away from it, and just how far a person would go for who they love.

Acerca del Director

Elizabeth Mirzaei es directora y directora de fotografía de películas de no ficción. Su cortometraje Three Songs for Benazir ganó un premio Cinema Eye Honors, un premio Grierson y fue nominado a un premio de la Academia. Su película Laila at the Bridge se proyectó en Locarno y en CPH: DOX. Elizabeth y Gulistan tienen tres hijas. Natalia es el primer largometraje dirigido de forma independiente por Elizabeth.

Elizabeth Mirzaei is a director and cinematographer of nonfiction films. Her short film Three Songs for Benazir won a Cinema Eye Honors Award, a Grierson Award, and was nominated for an Academy Award. Her film Laila at the Bridge played at Locarno and CPH:DOX. Elizabeth and Gulistan have three daughters. Natalia is Elizabeth’s first independently directed feature.
