Acerca del Director
Es un documentalista italo-estatunidense.12 Su documental Sacro GRA (2013) ganó el León de Oro en el 70.ª Mostra Internacional de Venecia, mientras que su documental de 2016 Fuocoammare ganó el Oso de Oro en el 66ª Festival Internacional de Cine de Berlín. Rosi es el único documentalista que ganó dos máximos premios en los tres grandes festivales de cine europeos (Venecia, Berlín y Cannes), y es el único director junto a Michael Haneke, Ang Lee, Ken Loach y Jafar Panahi que lo ha logrado en el siglo XXI.
He is an Italian-American documentary filmmaker.12 His documentary Sacro GRA (2013) won the Golden Lion at the 70th Venice International Film Festival, while his 2016 documentary Fuocoammare won the Golden Bear at the 66th International Festival Berlin Film Festival. Rosi is the only documentary filmmaker to have won two top awards at the three major European film festivals (Venice, Berlin and Cannes), and he is the only director along with Michael Haneke, Ang Lee, Ken Loach and Jafar Panahi to have achieved this at the XXI century.
